Ping isn’t 4.1-specific. It’s not stored on the device either, so Apple can update it at will, without having to update your OS each time.

Is it weird that mine has Ping on my iPhone even though I’m not a on 4.1? Or does everyone have it already?

I got 4.1 on my iphone 3G barely see a difference. It could just be because I took off a lot of apps but i need to upgrade to the iphone 4 i think.(still waiting for white)

I’ve got Ping integration on my iTunes and I’m still on iOS 4.0. It appeared on the same day as the keynote without me doing any kind if update so I don’t think it’s specific to iOS 4.1

that hdr photography makes a huge difference! may just be the biggest reason to upgrade besides the proximity sensor of course.

@rednes800 if you sign up to be a developer, you get the GM version early… basically, pay 100 bucks and your considered a developer

Wow, a standard-def 40 minute TV show is 1.4GB? Seriously? That’s more than most movies I download which are usually 700mb… Apple needs to work on that, not everyone has unlimited bandwidth.
